“You seem troubled, Alec. Are you finding your new life boring?”
“No, Master.” Alec curled into Hamilton’s side where they sat
on the sofa. Music played softly in the background, Hamilton flicked through a
magazine on the iPad and Alec stretched out his legs. He still loved these
quiet moments, having Hamilton all to himself. A strange contentment settled
over him amidst the nakedness and compliance. “I’m happy here.”
Hamilton squeezed his shoulder gently. “But are you happy with
me?”
“You make me feel safe. Nobody can hurt me when you’re here.”
Hamilton stopped running his fingers through Alec’s
hair. Shit, Alec had slipped up and he knew it. He hadn’t told Hamilton
about his run in with Henry. Alec had been half expecting another inopportune
meeting in a dark alleyway where Brian the gorilla held him down so that Henry
could do his worst. It kept him awake some nights and now his ass would be raw
for not telling Hamilton sooner.
